From The Pastor

Pastor Lewis Davis & Co-Pastor Carolyn Davis

As pastor of God’s Church, a group of believers committed to God and His way of doing things, I consider this to be the greatest opportunity of a lifetime. We have no denominational limitations except those that were embedded in our spirit by religious upbringing. I am trusting God’s word to free us of any hindrance, religious conditioning or interference that may cause the anointing of God (the Holy Ghost) in our lives not to accomplish what God has predestined for us. I believe we are called “to root, out, pull down and to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant (Jeremiah 1:10).”

The unfruitful works of darkness are evidenced in our neighborhoods all over the world. Religion is partly the inducement of these happenings because it allows man to worship himself, instead of God. Religious and traditional conditioning are also hindering some people from accepting what God has said in His word.

What is the answer to this problem? Jesus is the answer! Jesus didn’t die for religion and He didn’t die for traditions or denominations. He died for the sins of mankind. We need to go back to the cross and begin again, making Jesus our Lord and seeing through spiritual eyes. Romans 12:1-2 says, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” We must be willing to allow God to change us and we must realize that God knows best.

At God’s Church, I believe that we have caught the vision of God and we are learning to want what God wants for our lives. Acts 1:8 states, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” That is what God’s Church is all about—living our lives so God can use us to witness to the world, under total submission to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.

We invite you to come and worship with us at God’s Church. I believe it will be a refreshing and enlightening experience. May God bless and keep you, is my prayer.
